​The Sultan’s Trail Foundation is pleased to announce the First Annual Symposium On The Historical Route from Vienna to Istanbul, a multidisciplinary, academic conference held from February 20 until February 23, 2013 in Novi Sad and Osijek.



The general theme of the conference will be the historical background of the Sultan's Trail.  

Anyone interested in the Sultan's Trail can submit papers. 

Possible topics include, but are not limited to: the Sultan's Trail an sich, Carski Drum, Ottoman history, Roman History (both in relation to the Sultan's Trail and the region), local history of the eight countries involved: Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey
